Kinston Mayor B.J. Murphy remembers watching as a seventh-grader at Rochelle Middle School a laserdisc slideshow of the future of the N.C. Global TransPark.
“Large cargo planes, machines lifting and moving boxes and farmland turning into manufactured facilities,” Murphy recalled of the images he saw in class to the N.C. Logistics Task Force, which met Thursday at the Spirit AeroSystems Composite Center of Excellence.
“That vision is still out there today,” Murphy said.
